The Biodiversity Hawke’s Bay Foundation is seeking new Board members.
Biodiversity Hawke’s Bay works with statutory and non-statutory agencies, iwi groups, farmers and other private landowner and community groups to improve the region’s biodiversity.
The Foundation is a registered charity that oversees progress on the Biodiversity Hawke’s Bay Action Plan. The Plan was launched at an event in Havelock North last week attended by more than 200 people.
It also has a goal of growing an endowment fund to administer to support biodiversity restoration in Hawke’s Bay.
The Foundation is looking to appoint two to three new board members, as only one current Board member is standing down. Their aim is to include outstanding Board members representing a wide variety of interests and experience from across the Hawke’s Bay region.
Nominations are now open and will close on 8 June 2018. Interested people or nominators can get more details and nomination forms from Hawke’s Bay Biodiversity Project Manager, Genevieve Bennett.
The Foundation Trust deed and information about the current Board is available here.
