In October the recently revised Action Plan 2021 - 2025 was launched. The Action Plan is a plan to better support and coordinate biodiversity action in Hawke’s Bay and arises from the Hawke’s Bay Biodiversity Strategy 2015-2050 (Strategy).
Highlights of the launch included presentations from three groups / individuals who are currently leading successful, inspirational, and practical biodiversity projects in Hawke’s Bay. Passion and doing the hard mahi are key to the success of these projects, as well as working in collaboration and as a community. Working together we will protect and enhance biodiversity in Hawke’s Bay.
The Biodiversity HB team will be reaching out to local groups and organisations to support the kaupapa of the Action Plan (alignment, collaboration, and leadership) looking to build greater connections across everyone in the biodiversity community to maximise the impact of the work we are all doing.
